You Are Welcome at Community United Methodist Church Do you long for a place to explore your spirituality with others in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere?  Do you seek a warm, welcoming, and active community?

We are a community of followers of Jesus. We seek to love God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  Supporting one another, we strive together to obey and serve God, to grow in Jesus’ likeness, and to invite others into loving relationship with God.  If you are seeking a deep connection with God, we invite you to come and journey with us.


For those who desire worship:
  • Traditional worship, Sunday mornings at 10 a.m.
  • Toddler Room and Sunday School available during morning worship.
  • Healing prayer is included in morning worship the third Sunday of each month.
  • Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
  • Adult and children’s choirs sing in morning worship September through June.


For those who desire to learn and grow in faith:
  • Adult Education: Tuesday mornings and Sundays following worship (except summer). Call church office for schedule and details.
  • Comprehensive and professionally directed Sunday School for children’s Christian Education from pre-school through 7th
  • Confirmation classes for 8th graders, October through May.
  • Vacation Bible School for one week every August.


For those who desire authentic community and spiritual growth:
  • Small groups offer opportunities to share the journey and grow spiritually.
  • Young Adult Ministry provides both social and spiritual growth opportunities.
  • Active youth group for junior and senior high school youth.


For those who desire to serve:
  • An active outreach program to those in need in our area and beyond.
  • Periodic participation in Habitat for Humanity and other mission projects.
  • Food collection and volunteers for LI Council of Churches food pantry.
  • Youth volunteers at Farmingdale UMC soup kitchen.
  • CUMC Thrift Shop provides inexpensive clothing and household goods.
  • Participation in the Heifer Project for poor farmers around the world.
  • We work to eliminate hunger and poverty with “Bread for the World.”
